Indoor trail: an educational, original and fun museum!
Along a free visit, you'll be discovering various rooms with saber toothed cats, mammoths and woolly rhinoceros, relive the Bing Bang and meet with a Neanderthal tribe in the amphitheatre! You can even arm-wrestle with a Neanderthal man or see yourself transformed into Cro-Magnon thanks to a morphing procedure! Children will love it!
Outdoor trail: reconstruction of Neanderthal life!
The outdoor trail of the Paléosite presents settings of the movie of Jacques Malaterre «Ao, the last hunter». You can stroll around in the Neanderthal village, the Neanderthal camp, the Mammoth cemetery and the Sapiens village and assist various aminations like the fire lighting by Neanderthals, flint carving, lance throwing and cave painting art workshops... Prehistory as if you were there!
